FAQ

Questions people actually ask before switching this on.

How does it actually connect to my phone?

Through a feature already built into your phone line called call forwarding. You dial a short code once — it tells the network to send every call straight to Vantiq. No app, no hardware, and your existing number never changes. Your customers keep calling the number they've always had.

What happens to calls Vantiq can't handle?

It becomes an instant text to you with the caller's number, so you can call them back yourself. Nothing gets silently dropped — if Vantiq can't resolve it, you find out immediately, not at the end of the day.

Can I turn it off if I don't like it?

Yes, in seconds. There's a reverse code that switches call forwarding straight back off — no waiting on hold, no support ticket, no notice period to cancel the forwarding itself. You're always in control of your own line.

Does it work with my existing calendar?

Yes — it checks your real Google Calendar and only ever offers slots that are genuinely free, then books straight into it. You don't need to keep a second calendar in sync, and there's no double-booking risk.

Do I need to log into a dashboard or app?

No. There isn't one. Your phone, your calendar and your texts are the entire interface — if you can already use those, you already know how to use Vantiq.

Will it sound robotic to my customers?

No — it's built to sound like a normal person answering the phone, not an automated menu. It's tuned specifically so callers can speak naturally and get a natural response back, rather than pressing numbers or repeating themselves.

What's the contract, and is there a setup fee?

It's a fixed-term prepaid service — 3 or 6 months — with no separate setup fee; that's folded into the price. It auto-renews with 30 days' notice if you want to make a change.

What happens to my data, and is it GDPR compliant?

Your calendar and booking data stay in your own Google Calendar, under your account. A data processing agreement is provided for you to read and accept before you think about paying for anything.

Can I still answer calls myself when I'm free?

With forwarding active, every call goes straight to Vantiq and your phone won't ring for it. If you want to take calls yourself for a stretch, the same one-time code switches forwarding off instantly — and back on again just as easily.

How is this different from just using voicemail?

Voicemail asks the caller to do the work — leave a message, wait for a callback, hope you call before they ring someone else. Most people won't bother. Vantiq has an actual conversation, books the job there and then, and tells you it happened. Nothing left for the caller to do, and nothing left for you to chase.
